Der Künstler fertigte ein Kostüm an, welches dem berühmten Bücherregal von Ikea gleicht. Er ist in dem Regal und trägt es wie ein Ganzkörperkostüm auf der Haut. Einige Teile sind getrennt, um das Kostüm anzuziehen. Aber es kann zu einem vollwertigem Regal zusammen gefügt werden und z.B. an der Wand stehen. Billy ist eines der meistverkauften Bücherregale weltweit. Jeder kennt es oder besitzt eines. Um das funktionale Leben eines Billy zu erfahren, posierte der Künstler in verschiedene Wohnungen in Groningen und abschließend im Ikea Groningen - neben den echten Billy Möbeln. Die Ausstellung besteht aus dem Billy Kostüm als auch den 9 Fotografien.

The artist made a costume that looks like the famous Billy book shelf from Ikea. He is inside the shelf, wearing it like a full body costume. At some parts the shelf is cut, in order to be able to get dressed inside it. But he can reassemble to a full shelf and stand at a wall, fex. in the size of. Billy is one of the most sold book shelf world wide. Everybody knows it or owns one.
In order to experience the functional life of Billy, the artist posed in various homes and finally inside the Ikea store Groningen, next to the real Billy furniture. The exhibition consists out of the the Billy costume, as well as the documentary photographies at the different sites. - Categoriesperformancephotography
