Come Close Space ist ein barockes, benutzbares Videom\u00f6bel. \u201eEin Raum zum Nah kommen\u201c oder ein \u201enaher Raum\u201c.
\nDie Skulptur l\u00e4dt den Betrachter ein, so nah wie m\u00f6glich zwischen den Videobildern zu verweilen und offenbart das
\nParadox zwischen Bildvorstellungskraft, der Grenze der Bild-oberfl\u00e4che und dem realen Raum. Vier Videoepisoden
\nthematisieren den visuellen Unterschied zwischen Mann und Frau, der Ber\u00fchrung, der Intimit\u00e4t und der
\nSchwierigkeit der Wahrnehmung multipler Videoquellen.<\/p>\n
In Come Close Space werden vier Video-Episoden von zwei Schauspielern gespielt. Diese Videos pr\u00e4sentiere sich in
\neinem goldbraunem Samtsofa, einer skulptural barocken Video-Installation mit zwei Video Projektionen und sechs
\nMonitoren. Das Sofa ist in der Mitte durch eine doppelte Projektionsfl\u00e4che in eine m\u00e4nnliche und eine weibliche Seite
\ngeteilt. Auf jeder Seite laufen synchron die gleichen Szenen \u2013 lediglich pr\u00e4sentiert von einem anderen Geschlecht.
\nJeder Charakter verbleibt auf seiner Seite.<\/p>\n
Traurigerweise versuchen die Schauspieler vieles, um sich gegenseitig anzun\u00e4hern. Sie m\u00f6chten sich ber\u00fchren,
\naber sie verbleiben im Bild gefangen. Eine tragische Liebesgeschichte.<\/p>\n

A video and sound installation by Torsten P Bruch<\/em>.\r\nGolden velvet sofa, usable, 6 monitors and 2 video projections,<\/em>\r\n4 headphones, 8 dvds synchronized (loop 7:22min), 7m x 2m x 2,15m<\/em>\r\nCome Close Space is a baroque video sculpture. \u201cA space to come close with\u201d or \u201ca close space\u201d.<\/em><\/pre>\n
The sculpture invites people to be as near as possible in between the video images and shows the paradox<\/em>
\nbetween visual imagination, the frontier of an image and the real space.<\/em><\/p>\n
Four video episodes are presenting differences between man and woman, about touch, about intimacy and<\/em>
\n the difficult reception of multiple video sources. In Come Close Space four Video Episodes are played by two actors.<\/em>
\nThese videos are presented in a big golden velvet sofa, a sculptural and barock video installation with two video<\/em>
\nprojections and six monitors. In the middle the sofa is divided by a double projection screen into a male and<\/em>
\na female side. On each side is showing the same scenes synchronized. They are just presented by a different gender.<\/em>
\nEach character stays on his side.<\/em><\/p>\n
Sadly the actors are trying everything to approach towards each other. They want to connect but they cannot<\/em>
\n overcome the second dimension of the screens. Their life in the installation remains only visual.<\/em>
\nSo on the other hand my installation is also a tragic love story.<\/em><\/p>\n
